HGV levy calculator

For HGVs registered outside the UK. Enter the weight, Euro class and number of days on UK main roads to see the levy band, the rates and the cheapest way to pay.

What it uses

The levy rates from 1 April 2026 published on gov.uk for non-UK HGVs of 12,000 kg or more: band A (12,000 to 31,000 kg), band B (31,001 to 38,000 kg) and band C (38,001 kg and over), with higher rates for Euro 5 and older vehicles. UK-registered HGVs pay the levy with their vehicle tax instead.

The levy is due for each day, 00:00 to 23:59, that the HGV uses an A road or motorway, and must be paid before entering the UK. More on the HGV vehicle tax and levy page.
